One of One Chic

I have always enjoyed sewing since I was 13 years old. My mom was a seamstress and taught me a lot. It was fun to make my own clothes and wear them to school.
Using different patterns gave me a lot of practice during those years.
My mom came from the depression era and made over clothes all the time. Making me snowsuits out of old wool coats, and dresses from feed sacks when I was very little.
I decided to try making over some garments and I found my real creative side!
So it goes, my living room is packed with jeans and jackets, dollies and old table cloths!
I bought a mannequin and I was off to the races. I have so many clothes.
I never really know what I am going to do until I put the first few pieces of fabric on my mannequin. It just happens! Young people and older have encouraged me to start my own shop, so I am giving it a go!
Thanks for the opportunity to making my dream of being a shop owner come true!!

Best Regards!
Wendy
